In June and July 2026 the SPARKLE project held the Mobility Activities in both Uganda and Sierra Leone. These activities were hosted by the local partners in their facilities and carried out by the Emergency staff who received remote support from IAL FVG.
The core of the mobility consisted of sessions with the students, structured as interactive workshops to demonstrate the digital tools and media content developed within the project, freely available in the SPARKLE OER Platform. The students were encouraged to actively engage with the materials through questions, discussions, and hands-on testing. The objective was to establish a sense of familiarity between the students and the tools, as well as to assess their applicability within the local educational framework.
Both activities had significant participation, with sessions carried out at Freetown Polytechnic and Milton Margai University in Sierra Leone, as well as at Namulanda Technical Institute and Shoreline Technical Institute in Uganda. The organizations closely collaborated with the Emergency staff, participants demonstrated strong engagement, and the interactive methodology proved effective in facilitating knowledge exchange and mutual learning.
The mobility has achieved its goals by successfully enhancing the training in the electrotechnical field, promoting innovation and development aligned with the requests of the labor market, and supporting the employability of students and graduates in the sector. The mobility initiative has strengthened the foundation for further collaborations within the Erasmus+ framework.
