ADMISSIONS
The Institute admits S4 and S6 (O and A level) certificate holders with good passes in English language, Matehematics, Physics and currently offers courses in:
- Electrical Systems and maintenance
- Building and Construction
- Plumbing
- Welding and Fabrication
- Beauty and Cosmetology
- Automotive Mechanics
- Fashion and Design
- Catering and Hotel Management
Holders of Junior technical certificates are also admitted. Those who didn’t attain the required grades are admitted but are at the end of the 2 years presented to Directorate of Industrial training that assesses them and awards them competence certificates.
EMPHASIS ON PRACTICALS
A lot of effort shall be put in availing equipment for practicals so as to reverse the trend where graduates of technical institutes have to learn the practicals at their work stations after they are recruited a situation many employers are complaining about. Linkages will be established with industrial establishments to enhance Industrial training for the students as well as help the training to be relevant to the work situations.
